Northern Rib Hire Ltd has grown from strength to strength since it's inception in 2006. Evolving from one mans dream to a forward thinking company that employs many professionals and services a large client base.

We cover Rib Hire in all it's forms, including but not limited to Rib Hire Charter services, Safety Boat Services, Crew Transfers, Ecology Services and Marine Security Patrols.

We are conveniently located close to the M6 and motorway links, our headquarters is in the North West of England however we aim to be able to deliver any of our services and products within six hours, all of our hardware can be transported by road which enables us to offer lightning fast delivery when neccessary.

Crew Transfer

One of the many services we offer is crew transfer, needed for transferring workers, passengers and VIPs, we can help you get your people on board safely and swiftly. We have a range of vessels suitable for this job depending on how many need to be transported.

Vanishing Point 2 is our largest catamaran, with up to 12 passengers with comfortable seating and plenty of room for storage. There is a galley, toilet facilities and it features a bow push on, allowing the vessel topush onto larger ships at sea, guarantee your crew a safe and solid point of contact for boarding or unboarding.

Purpose Built Ribs

Here at Northern Rib Hire we have a wide range of vessels including purpose built Ribs specifically designed for crew transfers. We have the Ariel, Grumpy and Pampero which all provide warm cabins and include suspension seating for 12 passengers. Combined with high powered engines these provide fast transfers that are comfortable, reduce the amount of travel time and decrease any wasted time on your project.

If you require more room for cargo or more open deck space we also have other vessels that are suitable such as Calima, Diablo and Mistral. Contact us with any custom requirements you may have and we can arrange for the best vessel for the job.

Diving Vessels

Northern Rib Hire have a range of dive suitable vessels within our fleet of Ribs and Catamarans. Each capable of different jobs in varying conditions, our flagship dive vessel katabatic was built for purpose and is equipped with a 15 KVA generator, diver wash down facilities and a 750kg A frame capable of 4 point mooring.

Here at Northern Rib Hire we have a wide range of vessels that are purpose-built for for diving and undertaking different jobs within that sphere. For instance Katabatic is our flagship dive vessel, equipped with a 15 KVA generator, driver wash down facilities and an A frame capable of 4 point mooring and rated to 750kg. It is perfect for diving missions and well equipped to make projects more efficient and convenient.

For ROV operations we recently bought Thumper, a vessel dedicated to diving surveys and ROV operations.

Large Open Deck Space

Another common vessel for this purpose is Mistral, this is our largest open Rib and comes with a wide open deck space that can accomodate a 5 man dive team complete with scubra replacement unit, crew and company rep. Igress and egress is made easy with a handy dive ladder available. For inland locations or anywhere where access is restricted we do also have smaller Ribs such as Calima and Diablo that can be equipped for commercial diving operations.

Over the past decade we have worked with numerous diving companies and completed contracts to their satisfaction, having altered and equipped our boats to each specific job requirement

Marine Security

Any of our vessels can be used for security purposes depending on the environment they would be working in, vessels such as Thumper, Pluto and Scirocco II are all fast response vessels that can quickly and efficiently deter other vessels from entering an exclusion zone or forbidden area on your site, or that can perform patrol duties to keep an eye on everything and make sure that your work site stays secure.
